Juried sources, often referred to as scholarly, peer reviewed, or refereed sources, refers to journal articles that have been reviewed by peers, experts in the field, before acceptance by a journal.  Many of the databases have an option to limit results to peer reviewed or refereed articles, as for example, the database Academic Search Premier.
